Laptop/Notebook Battery for Dell Inspiron 1525 1526 1545

I had just replaced the DC jack in my daughter's 1525 Inspiron which I believe is something everyone should check first before they purchase a battery. There appears to be a wide spread problem with the OEM DC jack breaking easily. If you buy the battery first without checking in the DC jack is loose/broken, you will think the new battery is no good. After I replaced, her laptop was up and running again but the old battery would start to charge and quit almost immediately. I ordered this battery, snapped it in and it started charging immediately and at 100% charge it said there was 4 hours of battery time available.

I bought this to replace my girlfriend's old Dell battery, which only lasted about 15 mins off the charger. It came almost fully charged, but we plugged it in and let it fully charge, opened the computer to find 4.25 hours of battery life! She was ecstatic, to say the least. We will definitely buy another one of these as a back up battery!
